Our college also conducted the study and education of “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of Party building” during the summer vacation.

On the morning of August 22, Qingdao University posted Notice on Doing a Good Job in “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of Party building” regarding learning and education during the summer vacation. This notice included “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of Party building” learning and education to ensure that learning and education were continued during the summer vacation, and learning and education were effectively implemented. Under the chairmanship of Comrade Wang Jianxun, Secretary of the Party Branch of our college, a study and education meeting on morality and conduct was held, and all Party members and comrades of the Party Branch participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, Comrade Wang Jianxun summarized “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of Party building” in the summer and described the next work plan. Comrades Wang Yu and Zhang Lei read the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech at the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the spirit of the important speech at the symposium on philosophy and social sciences, and the spirit of the important speeches given at the National Science and Technology Innovation Conference, the Academician Conference of the Two Academies, and the Ninth National Congress of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. All Party members listened carefully, studied, and wrote an essay on their learning experience of no less than 2,000 words.

All Party members and comrades also studied and discussed the “Guidelines for Integrity and Self-discipline,” General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statements on socialist core values and “good cadres” and “four haves.” His speech stressed that good teachers “study hard and cultivate morality, distinguish clearly and be honest, and strive to be a qualified builder and successor of socialism.” He also listened to the report of the summer “Three Goes to the Countryside,” a social practice activity organized by Comrade Zhou Luxuan of our college, and he shared his views, experiences, and feelings in the grassroots countryside of Linyi, Shandong Province.

Finally, each Party member also closely combined his own thoughts, discipline, style, and work practices to determine existing problems, including party branches, research institutes, and individuals.
