Deputy Dean:Yin Wang


Yin Wang, Ph.D., is the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Translational Medicine, Qingdao University and the Director of the Office of Scientific Research Management and International Cooperation, College of Medicine, Qingdao University. He is also a member of the Board of Supervisors of the Shandong Society of Cell Biology.


Dr. Wang graduated from the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After graduation, he entered the State Key Laboratory of Biomembrane and Membrane Biology, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Then, he joined the Qingdao University Translational Medicine Research Institute in 2014. In 2015, he was selected to study part-time at the Department of Cell Biology, Faculty of Life Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China. Since 2016, he has served as the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Translational Medicine. In 2019, he served as the Director of the Office of Scientific Research Management and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Medicine. For many years, he has devoted himself to cell biology and cardiovascular disease research, with myocardial disease repair as the research direction and non-coding nucleic acid, stem cell programming, and epigenetic modification as the research base, revealing their mutual connections and mechanism of action. Focusing on the important functions of non-coding RNA in biological macromolecular intervention, gene silencing, and epigenetic mechanisms in his clinical research, he has carried out cardiovascular disease diagnosis and prevention, rehabilitation intervention, big data analytics, and precision medicine. He has presided over the general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in five national scientific research projects, such as key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other major research projects. He is also an evaluation expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the first author, corresponding author, and participating author, he has published 38 representative papers in journals such as Circulation Research, Molecular Cell, Nature Communications, and Cell Death and Differentiation.
