Resume:

Wang Kun is currently a professor at Qingdao University and director of the Developmental Cardiology Center of the Institute of Translational Medicine, Qingdao University. Winner of the 2015 "National Outstanding Youth Fund", 2016 "Shandong Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund", 2016 "Taishan Scholar Young Expert". She has been engaged in the study of molecular mechanisms of heart and cardiovascular diseases for many years, and her main research directions include: the study of signal pathways and molecular mechanisms of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, necrosis, apoptosis and cardiomyocyte autophagy; explore the intervention and treatment of non-coding RNA and gene-related heart diseases; the molecular mechanism of cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration. So far, research results have been published in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Cell Biology, Circulation, European heart journal, Circulation Research, Nature communications. The research results obtained eight national invention patents.

Research Interests:

Prof. Wang’s research interests cover basic research and application of cardiomyocyte signaling pathway.
