Introduction to the Institute of Translational Medicine

The Institute of Translational Medicine at Qingdao University was established in April 2014. It is led by Professor Li Peifeng, an expert in the field of cardiovascular research in China. The Qingdao Municipal Government and Qingdao University provided strong financial support in the preliminary construction of the laboratory. The Institute of Translational Medicine comprises eight research centers (Developmental Cardiology Center, Regenerative Medicine Center, Tumor Molecular Biology Center, Vascular Biology Center, Cell Therapy Research Center, Translational Drug Research Institute, Precision Medicine Center, and Molecular Genetics Center). There are two technical support platforms; one is at the Model Animal Center, and the other is at the Biology Center for Physical Information and Biotechnology). The research Institute has purchased more than 100 advanced instruments and equipment and has built an advanced biomedical research technology platform, including stem cell and cell biology research platforms, bioimaging centers, high-throughput sequencing and nucleic acid drug development platforms, molecular biology test platforms, and SPF-level animal houses and animal experiment platforms.

The research Institute focuses on factors related to major diseases. Its main research direction is to reveal their signaling pathways and mechanisms, clarify important factors in human health from individual development to tissue aging and cell regeneration to cell death, as well as the relationship between molecular regulatory components and the occurrence and development of diseases. The Institute studies the key processes of human life, the relationships between diseases, potential pathogenic factors, and effective treatments. The laboratory research direction emphasized two themes and one central topic: reawakening and tissue regeneration and repair of differentiated cells, and stem cell and cell cycle remodeling. The central focus is on noncoding nucleic acid regulation and its potential mechanism.

At present, the Institute of Translational Medicine at Qingdao University is in a stage of rapid development. To further strengthen the construction of the research team and meet the daily management needs of the Institute, our hospital has decided to openly recruit two administrative supervisors and assistants. The specific recruitment requirements are as follows:

I. Recruitment targets and conditions

1. Bachelor’s degree or above; the age of the administrative supervisor is between 30 and 40 years; the age of administrative assistant is a maximum of 35 years.

2. A sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit, the ability to work hard without complaining, the ability to complete the assigned work seriously and meticulously.

3. Long-term employment is preferred.

4. Experience in administration is preferred; those with relevant biomedical backgrounds are preferred.

II. Recruitment procedures

1. Registration: Candidates complete the Registration Form of the Institute of Translational Medicine of Qingdao University in 2017 and send scanned copies of academic degree certificates, various award certificates, and other certificates in the form of attachments by email. Please indicate “Name + Position + College Talent Network” in the subject bar of the email.

2. Qualification examination: The Personnel Section of the Institute conducts a preliminary review of the applicant’s materials.

3. Interview: The interview consists of two parts: the applicant’s statement and experts’ questions. The Institute organizes interviews and determines the list of proposed candidates for employment.

4. Approval and employment: Information about the personnel to be hired shall be submitted to the school for examination and approval after they pass the physical examination. The approved personnel shall complete the admission procedures within the specified time.

III. Treatment and support conditions

1. The contract system is implemented, and the contract period is three years. The probation period is six months. After the probation period expires, the Institute will organize the assessment, and those who pass the examination will be transferred to the contract system.

2. The salary is about 5,000 yuan; five social insurances and one housing fund are included. Those with excellent work results are eligible for performance wages according to the situation.
