The Institute of Translational Medicine of Qingdao University (website address: http://qtm.qdu.edu.cn/) is in the coastal City of Qingdao, which is surrounded by mountains and the sea. The Institute of Translational Medicine at Qingdao University closely follows contemporary concerns, with the main purpose of serving clinical needs and national health needs. The Institute focuses on the following: scientific research and technical means of solving the bottleneck between research and its application; filling the gap between ideals and reality; addressing the threat to human health by major diseases, key scientific problems, and treatment application difficulties; and pioneering cutting-edge research results. The broad range of talented personnel improves the overall quality of the Institute and promotes the development of the Institute, according to the needs of the cause-related, after research. It has been proposed that the recruitment of one Executive Vice Dean and one Vice Dean of Scientific Research be open to the community.

Research requirements

*Nucleic acid biology: noncoding nucleic acid analysis and prediction, processing, maturation, and functional mechanism research.

*Research on the molecular mechanism of cell fate determination: cell cycle, cell programming and reprogramming, cell differentiation and transdifferentiation, cytoskeleton and cell polarity, etc.

*Research on the structure and function of organelles: cell metabolism (mitochondria and glucose and lipid metabolism), communication and interaction of organelles, subcellular structure, and function research.

*Research on the structure and functional modification of biological macromolecules: chromosome structure remodeling, epigenetic modification, etc.

– Research on diseases: cardiovascular diseases, tumor, and aging.

– Bioinformatics, big data, computer science and intelligent medicine.

– Medical engineering, medical science, and other cutting-edge interdisciplinary directions, new technologies, and new methods.
